Agreement for Use of Tokyo Health Concierge Services

This page outlines the terms, conditions, and important matters that patients are expected to review and understand prior to using Tokyo Health Concierge services, including online medical consultations and house calls.

Use of the service constitutes acknowledgment and acceptance of the contents described below.

1. Type of Medical Services

Tokyo Health Concierge services include online medical consultations (via video call, voice call, etc.) and, when deemed necessary by a physician, house calls in which a physician visits the patient's place of stay, such as a hotel.

Patients should note that online medical consultations have inherent limitations compared to in-person examinations. Based on the physician's medical judgment, patients may be advised to seek an in-person consultation or visit another medical institution.

2. Emergency Care and Limitations of Service

This service is not intended to provide care for life-threatening emergency conditions, including but not limited to cardiac arrest, severe trauma, or serious loss of consciousness.

If the physician determines that appropriate medical care cannot be provided through this service, the patient may be advised to seek emergency transportation or consult another medical facility.

3. Interpretation and Multilingual Support

To facilitate communication with international patients, this service may utilize interpreters or translation tools, including AI-based translation systems.

While reasonable efforts are made to ensure accuracy, patients should understand that complete or perfect communication may not always be guaranteed due to linguistic or cultural differences.

4. Handling of Personal and Medical Information

Personal and medical information necessary for the provision of medical services—such as name, contact details, medical condition, passport information, and accommodation details—may be collected and used.

Such information will be used solely for purposes including medical care, interpretation, medication coordination, payment processing, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and will be managed under appropriate security and safety measures.

5. Fees, Private Medical Services, and Cancellation Policy (Important)

Tokyo Health Concierge services are provided exclusively as private (self-paid) medical services, and Japanese public health insurance does not apply.

Patients should also be aware that overseas travel insurance may not cover services provided.

Use of the service may result in the following charges:

  • Medical consultation fees
  • House call fees
  • Medication costs
  • Transportation and travel expenses
  • Other costs incidental to medical care

Once medical services have commenced, cancellation is generally not permitted. If medical care has been provided based on the physician's judgment, refunds may not be available.

6. Disclaimer and Final Medical Judgment

All decisions regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and prescription eligibility are made solely at the discretion of the attending physician based on professional medical judgment.

Tokyo Health Concierge shall not be held responsible for any disadvantages, losses, or adverse outcomes resulting from the patient's own actions, including interruption of treatment, failure to follow medical instructions, or inaccuracies or omissions in information provided by the patient.
